2x DairyRobot R9500
Installation of 2 x DairyRobot R9500 at Oremills Farm, Kirkcaldy, Fife.
We first installed a 14/28 Euroclass 800 milking parlour for Derek and David Laird back in 2010. With a herd of 100 cows they built a new centre feed passage cow shed on a greenfield site with straw court & cows were grazed in the summer months.
In 2021 they decided to invest in more automation and upgrade the parlour with 2 x R9500 DairyRobotā€™s. The excellent reliability of their original equipment made it an easy choice to choose GEA again. The straw courts were changed to cubicle beds earlier this year and another slatted tank was added to make the project complete. After a 4 week install by Dairyflow the cows started milking through the robots on Tuesday 9th of November and have settled in very well with yields rising to an average of 29kg while averaging 2.9 visits after only 4 weeks production.
